Job Summary
GCP Platform Engineer at ING Hubs Poland to design, build, and maintain ING’s Data Analytics Platform on Google Cloud. Responsibilities include developing infrastructure automation services using Golang, creating cloud-native, scalable and secure solutions, onboarding tenants, improving platform components and architecture, implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting, and participating in on-call rotations. The role sits in a multinational, distributed team operating with agile and design-thinking principles, and values automation-first mindset, modern cloud-native technologies, ownership, and collaboration across stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- hands-on experience building data platforms on GCP using services such as Cloud Run, Vertex AI, GKE, BigQuery, Dataproc, and GCS
- strong experience in Golang (must-have)
- infrastructure as code mindset (Terraform is required)
- experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (e.g., Azure DevOps, Docker, Kubernetes)
- understand cloud-native architecture principles and infrastructure automation practices
- hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
- networking fundamentals (VPC, DNS, load balancing, firewalls)
- secure authentication and encryption concepts (OIDC, KMS, SSL/TLS)
- clear communication of complex technical concepts and contributions to design documentation
- English at B2 level or higher
