GCP Administrator

GCP Administrator based in Latin America to work on a long-term project for a client headquartered in Virginia, US. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining GCP resources (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Cloud SQL, VPCs), conducting audits of GCP organization structure, applying patches and config updates, monitoring performance and service health, and enforcing best practices for cloud architecture, cost optimization, and resource management. Utilize IaC tools such as Terraform or Cloud Deployment Manager to automate provisioning, provide internal cloud support (GCP and Azure), manage IAM policies and least-privilege access, support cross-cloud tooling and analytics readiness, and assist in integrating GCP with Azure as needed. Design and provision secure, scalable infrastructure for AI/ML workloads with Vertex AI, establish secure data foundations (Storage buckets, BigQuery datasets) with proper encryption and access controls, implement Vertex AI controls to prevent data exfiltration, and prepare environments for Generative AI deployments (Gemini family) with secure API access. Also assist in security remediation, compliance audits, and cloud governance initiatives.
