Job Summary
GCIC Specialist responsible for GCIC data entry, clerical, and records maintenance duties. Performs criminal history checks on onboarding employees, enters data on stolen vehicles, runaway juveniles, stolen articles with serial numbers, and submits entries to GCIC in compliance with GCIC regulations. Tasks include monthly validations, audit preparation, preparation of case files, and support for the Records Division; reports to the Watch Commander and GCIC TAC OIC. Requires high school diploma or GED, attention to detail, ability to handle confidential information, data accuracy, and strong communication skills. 12-hour shift rotation with days, nights, and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior GCIC experience preferred, but not required
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and county ordinances and regulations governing dissemination of criminal information
- Ability to type a minimum of 50 WPM
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
