Job Summary
Analyze client financial performance against historical data, projections, and industry standards to assess credit worthiness and covenant compliance. Review financial statements, build projection models, and evaluate risk-adjusted profitability to ensure adherence to the bank's risk appetite. Manage the end-to-end credit approval process for annual renewals and new lending opportunities, including underwriting, negotiation, and closing of transactions. Support the origination, underwriting, and portfolio management processes for U.S./CAN Banks and Brokers clients, focusing on traded products and syndicated credit. Train and mentor junior analysts while overseeing portfolio monitoring workflows to maintain quality and timeline management.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years commercial and/or corporate banking credit experience
- Experience in underwriting, credit risk analysis, negotiation, and closing of new transactions or existing transactions, while adhering to all relevant policies and procedures
- Must have commercial credit analysis, financial modeling, traded products and underwriting experience
- Must have proficient Excel, Microsoft Word and Power Point skills
- Shift: 1st shift (United States of America)
- Hours Per Week: 40
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or another related field
- Formal credit training or related certifications
- Strong foundation in finance and accounting with experience building three statement and/or cash flow financial models
