Job Summary
Configure and implement SEWS GCCS-J software and systems, develop courseware, and provide operator training to US and foreign military personnel. Support local Colorado Springs, NATO, and foreign military location systems by resolving hardware, software, and communication issues while responding to outages and performing maintenance. Collaborate with government personnel to plan OCONUS trips, assist in designing user needs and hardware recommendations, and conduct familiarization and refresher training for CCMD and FMS customers. Support Emergency On-Site Sustainment travel as required and utilize engineering skills to research, test, and document solutions for research and test activities. Maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility and work occasional non-duty hours or weekends to support mission requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- BS degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Working experience with GCCS-J version 6.0 and/or at least five (5) years of Windows and Linux systems administration experience
- Strong knowledge of Server Operating Systems
- Knowledge of virtualization concepts and products (VMware)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) for user and groups
- Knowledge of current Microsoft Operating Systems (Server & Workstation)
- Familiarity with Oracle/Sybase/Postgress database maintenance
- Familiarity with Java application servers (Tomcat, JBoss)
- Familiarity with Linux/UNIX applications and services (NFS, SSH, NTP, LDAP, HTTP, Ansible)
- Must currently have and be able to maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI Eligibility
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, SSCP)
- The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements
- Travel Required: Yes (up to 50%)
