Job Summary
Investment Banking Associate in Goldman Sachs' Global Natural Resources Group based in Houston. Assists in developing and strengthening client relationships, participates on advisory teams, and contributes to structuring and executing a full range of financial transactions. Responsibilities include building and analyzing financial models, conducting company valuations, supporting M&A transactions and fixed income/equity issuances, organizing and preparing client presentations, coordinating tax attorneys and bankers, leading due diligence processes, and negotiating legal documentation. Develops analytical, communications, and marketing skills while gaining exposure to the firm’s businesses and the investment banking industry.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' investment banking or equivalent experience
- History of outstanding academic and professional achievement
- Strong team orientation and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with team members in multiple groups and regions
- Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
- Ability to juggle changing priorities and a varied workload
- Natural Resources banking and transaction experience preferred
