Gate Inspector

Job Summary
Inspect intermodal units arriving and departing the facility, checking unit numbers, trailers, and containers for damage while verifying security seals are intact on loaded units and confirming empty units are truly emptied. Perform hands-on inspections on chassis and containers, notating conditions, and clearly communicate all damage incurred on appropriate forms or computer systems with a direct supervisor. Input necessary paperwork as required by customers and maintain a quality environment where performance inspections are handled accurately, safely, and accident-free. Operate a forklift for facility chassis stacking and assist with admin work or yard tasks as needed. Wear required Personal Protection Equipment including a safety vest and steel toe boots. Work Monday through Friday, 8am to 6pm, with weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications

- Computer Literate
- Ability to follow direction
- Must be able to work inside and outside in elements
- Must be able to operate a forklift on the facility stacking chassis
- Must be able to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), such as a safety vest and steel toe boots
