Gate Attendant/Scale Operator

Monitor and record waste volumes entering the post collection site while collecting usage fees from customers. Determine material content to properly bill, accepting or rejecting waste loads based on special waste types and local market training. Receive payments, provide receipts, and balance daily receipts for accurate recordkeeping before depositing funds into the safe depository. Document waste entries using truck scales and computer systems, then notify operations of special loads to direct or dispatch as necessary. Process required paperwork for special loads, answer the telephone for general inquiries, and maintain work area cleanliness.
