Job Summary
Gate Attendant at ACV Auctions responsible for controlling access to the auto auction facility, verifying vehicle documentation, logging incoming/outgoing vehicles, inspecting for damage, and ensuring only authorized personnel and customers enter. Responsibilities include maintaining gate area organization and safety, providing directions and basic assistance to customers and drivers, communicating vehicle movement issues to internal departments, and reporting suspicious activity or policy violations. Candidates should have strong English communication, be able to work independently, and stay attentive during outdoor, extended-period duties. Prior experience in security, logistics, automotive, or customer service is a plus. This is a full-time role with a focus on inventory control, security, and efficient operations at the Hamden, CT location.
