Job Summary
Conduct approximately 80% inpatient procedures and 20% office-based care for digestive disorders in adults and pediatrics. Perform colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, BRAVO, capsule endoscopy, radiofrequency ablation, and Hepatitis C treatment using high-definition endoscopic technology. Rotate weekly call covering a 7-day stretch from Monday 8:00 AM to Monday 8:00 AM, including two nights of coverage. Maintain American Board eligibility or certification and obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License. Join a five-physician, 35-staff team at Bayfront Digestive Disease and UPMC Hamot, a nonprofit health system offering a $100,000 sign-on bonus, employer-paid malpractice insurance, and a 50% 403(b) match.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- American Board Eligible, American Board Certified or Canadian Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- A broad gastroenterology skill set with a willingness to learn new techniques, participate in new procedures and evolve as a gastroenterologist
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License
- Ability to obtain necessary credentials
- DEA certification
- A commitment to patient-centered care
- Excellent interpersonal skills
