Job Summary
Conduct approximately 80% inpatient procedures and 20% office-based care for digestive disorders in adults and pediatrics. Perform colonoscopy, EGD, ERCP, BRAVO, capsule endoscopy, radiofrequency ablation, and Hepatitis C treatment using high-definition endoscope technology. Rotate weekly call every 5 or 6 weeks, covering a 7-day stretch from Monday 8:00 AM to Monday 8:00 AM with two nights of coverage. Maintain American Board eligibility and obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License and DEA certification. Join the growing Bayfront Digestive Disease practice within UPMC Hamot's Center for Digestive Health, which includes five physicians and thirteen advanced practice providers.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- American Board Eligible, American Board Certified or Canadian Board Certified in Gastroenterology
- A broad gastroenterology skill set with a willingness to learn new techniques, participate in new procedures and evolve as a gastroenterologist
- Ability to obtain an unrestricted Pennsylvania Medical License
- Ability to obtain necessary credentials
- DEA certification
- A commitment to patient-centered care
- Excellent interpersonal skills
