Job Summary
Conduct gastroenterology clinical services as a Nurse Practitioner within the MedStar Health regional service line. Deliver patient care and manage cases requiring independent judgment and strong verbal and written communication skills. Maintain current licensure in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia and complete required CPR certification within 90 days. Requires a Master's degree from an accredited NP program and 1-2 years of prior nurse practitioner experience.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program approved by the Maryland State and/or DC Board Examiners of Nurses
- 1-2 years 2 year experience as a nurse practitioner
- NP - Nurse Practitioner - Licensed in the District of Columbia Maryland or Virginia or any combination as required based on work location(s)
- May require specialty license based on location
- CPR - Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation (includes BLS and NRP) for healthcare providers from either the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross within 90 Days
