Job Summary
Gastroenterology/Hepatology faculty opportunity at UTMB in Galveston, TX, open rank. Provide clinical care, teach learners across all levels, and pursue scholarship or research aligned with the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology. Roles may emphasize clinical service, education, research, hepatology, general endoscopy procedures, or advanced endoscopy depending on expertise. Faculty report to the Division Chief and collaborate across specialties to support UTMB's clinical, educational, and research missions. Requires MD/DO, ABIM Internal Medicine board certification/eligibility (or equivalent), Texas licensure eligibility, completion of Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship, and competence in EGD and colonoscopy. Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (or equivalent)
- Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in Texas
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency and a Gastroenterology Fellowship
- Demonstrated competence in EGD and colonoscopy procedures
- Commitment to clinical excellence and education
