Job Summary
Open-rank Gastroenterology/Hepatology faculty opportunities in the UTMB Department of Internal Medicine. Responsibilities include providing clinical care, teaching learners across all levels, and pursuing scholarship or research aligned with the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology. Positions may emphasize clinical service, education, research, hepatology, general endoscopy procedures, or advanced endoscopy based on the candidate’s expertise and career interests. Faculty report to the Division Chief and collaborate across specialties to support UTMB’s clinical, educational, and research missions.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (or equivalent)
- Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in Texas
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency and a Gastroenterology Fellowship
- Demonstrated competence in EGD and colonoscopy procedures
- Commitment to clinical excellence and education
