Job Summary
Gastroenterology/Hepatology Faculty Opportunities at Open Rank within UTMB's Department of Internal Medicine. Positions for Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor focusing on clinical care, education, and scholarship with possible emphasis on hepatology, endoscopy, or advanced endoscopy based on expertise. Candidates must hold MD or DO, be board-certified/eligible in Internal Medicine, be eligible for Texas licensure, and have completed an ACGME Internal Medicine residency and Gastroenterology fellowship. Responsibilities include clinical care, teaching across learner levels, and pursuing scholarly activities. Eligible to receive a relocation allowance as part of the compensation package. This opportunity is at UTMB Health, in Galveston, TX, within the John Sealy School of Medicine; affiliation and collaboration across divisions in Internal Medicine are emphasized.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (or equivalent)
- Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in Texas
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency and a Gastroenterology Fellowship
- Demonstrated competence in EGD and colonoscopy procedures
- Commitment to clinical excellence and education
