Job Summary
Gastroenterology/Hepatology Faculty Opportunities at UTMB open rank requiring clinical care, teaching, and potential scholarship or research across Gastroenterology & Hepatology within the Department of Internal Medicine. Positions may emphasize clinical service, education, research, hepatology, general endoscopy procedures, or advanced endoscopy, with responsibilities reporting to the Division Chief and collaboration across specialties. Eligible candidates include board-certified or -eligible Gastroenterologists and/or Hepatologists at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank, and must maintain clinical excellence and education.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (or equivalent)
- Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in Texas
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency and a Gastroenterology Fellowship
- Demonstrated competence in EGD and colonoscopy procedures
