Job Summary
Gastroenterology/Hepatology Faculty Opportunities open rank, UTMB Department of Internal Medicine. The role encompasses clinical care, teaching across all learner levels, and pursuing scholarship or research in Gastroenterology & Hepatology, with potential emphasis on clinical service, education, hepatology, general endoscopy procedures, or advanced endoscopy depending on expertise and career interests. Faculty collaborate across specialties to support UTMB's clinical, educational, and research missions and report to the Division Chief.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (or equivalent)
- Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in Texas
- Completion of an ACGME accredited Internal Medicine residency and a Gastroenterology Fellowship
- Demonstrated competence in EGD and colonoscopy procedures
- Commitment to clinical excellence and education
