Job Summary
Gastroenterologist needed to join a division with a blend of clinical practice, teaching, research, and administrative leadership. Responsibilities include clinical practice in community settings with service weeks at UMass Memorial Medical Center, an outpatient clinic schedule, a busy procedural schedule, and protected academic/administrative time. The role involves night call coverage, engagement in clinical research and quality improvement, opportunities for leadership, and an academic appointment commensurate with experience. Proficiency with Epic EMR and a collaborative, patient-centered approach are preferred to support a growing community referral practice in Central Massachusetts.
Required Qualifications
- Board-certified or board-eligible Gastroenterologists holding an MD or DO degree
- Eligibility for Massachusetts medical licensure
- Demonstrated commitment to outstanding patient-centered clinical care
- Passion for academic teaching and clinical research
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-based, interdisciplinary environment
- Experience and enthusiasm for growing a community referral practice
