Job Summary
Conduct outpatient gastroenterology services including diagnostic procedures like endoscopies and colonoscopies to identify gastrointestinal conditions. Evaluate patient history and symptoms to develop accurate diagnoses and treatment plans for issues such as IBS, Crohn's disease, ulcers, and liver disease. Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging results to inform care decisions while administering preventive screenings and dietary assessments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, maintain detailed medical records, and educate patients on disease management. Refer patients to specialists as appropriate and participate in research or clinical trials to advance field knowledge.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) from an accredited School of Medicine or Osteopathy
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine
- Completion of a Gastroenterology Fellowship with board certification or board eligibility
- Self-motivated with a willingness to work as a team to achieve common goals
