Job Summary
Gastroenterologist opportunity in Portsmouth, OH with a single-practice setup in SOMC Gastroenterology Associates. Base salary options include $588,376 (50th percentile MGMA) or $741,960 (75th percentile MGMA) with production-based upside; 2-year guaranteed contract with transition to wRVU-based production, sign-on bonus up to 15% of base salary, and substantial relocation support. Responsibilities include performing bread-and-butter GI procedures with access to Olympus scopes and Provation/EMR integration; light call schedule and a busy workload (10-15 endoscopy procedures per day, 30 clinic patients per day). Staff includes NPs, LPNs, MOAs, and office/hospital support. Opportunity features CME support, malpractice coverage, comprehensive benefits, retirement contributions, and potential loan repayment. Teaching opportunities with medical students and trainees; required to be Board Certified or Board Eligible with Ohio licensure eligibility.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certified/Board Eligible Gastroenterologist
- Active medical license or eligibility to obtain medical license in Ohio
