Join PeaceHealth St. Joseph Medical Center as a Gastroenterologist with a dedicated GI team (4 physicians and 2 APCs) in a newly remodeling outpatient endoscopy center and hospital-based block-time clinic. The role emphasizes a collaborative practice environment supporting work-life balance, with ERCP desired but not required. Practice features include a majority of procedures in the outpatient endoscopy center with dedicated staff, shared call with local GI group, and a 16- to 18-patient-per-day clinic flow. The team has long-tenured staff and leadership, modern Olympus endoscopy equipment, and a clinician-wellness program with CME opportunities, coaching, and relocation assistance. Compensation includes a salary guarantee starting at $579,560 with potential earnings above $700,000, plus a generous sign-on/relocation loan program, educational loan reimbursement, and robust retirement options. The role is based at a Level II trauma center campus on the hospital grounds in Bellingham, WA, with opportunities to serve a broad community and catchment area in Whatcom County.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Doctor (MD) or DO degree with gastroenterology training
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology (implied by role)
- Ability to participate in ERCP procedures (ERCP is desired but not required)
