Job Summary
Gastroenterologist needed for locum tenens coverage in New York to provide inpatient consultations and outpatient gastroenterology services. Responsibilities include managing hospital rounding, hospital consultations, and outpatient clinic sessions on a Monday–Friday schedule with 8-hour day shifts plus evening and weekend call. Procedures include EGD, EUS, ERCP for gallstones and straightforward cases, EGD RFA, Colon EMR, and Colon EUS, with anesthesiologist support in the endoscopy suite. Active New York licensure is required. Work location is on-site in Oneida, NY with facility support staff including APP, nursing, and administration.
Required Qualifications
- Board Certification Required
- Active New York licensure
- Gastroenterology specialty
- Inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology experience
- Proficiency with endoscopic procedures including EGD, EUS, ERCP, EMR for colon and other procedures
- Experience with anesthesia-supported endoscopy setting as described
