Job Summary
Gastroenterologist needed for locum tenens coverage in Oneida, NY. Inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology services Monday–Friday with 8-hour day shifts; evening and weekend call coverage. Perform specialized procedures including EGD, EMR, EUS, ERCP for gallstones and straightforward cases, Colon EUS and Colon EMR with anesthesiologist support available. Manage hospital rounding, consultations, and outpatient clinic sessions every other week for one day with 8 hours of coverage. Active New York licensure required for this assignment coordinating care with multidisciplinary teams.
Required Qualifications
- Board certification in gastroenterology
- Active New York medical license
- MD degree
- Locum Tenens experience (preferred)
- Inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology experience
- Endoscopy procedural proficiency (EGD, ERCP, EUS)
