Job Summary
Gastroenterologist Hospitalist needed at MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center with Advanced Therapeutic training and expertise. Opportunity for a 7On/7Off schedule, APP support, and a consult-only service within an integrated GI department. Includes teaching opportunities for Internal Medicine Residents and Medical Students, an in-house endoscopy suite, and collaboration with in-house specialists (Anesthesia, Interventional Radiology, Cytopathology, Colorectal Surgery). J-1 and H1-B applicants are encouraged to apply. MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center is a Level II Trauma center with a broad network across Iowa, offering a stable academic-leaning environment and opportunities to participate in teaching and patient care across two metro campuses.
Required Qualifications
- Board-eligible or board-certified in Gastroenterology
- Advanced therapeutic training and expertise
- Hospitalist service experience or capability
- Willingness to teach Internal Medicine Residents and Medical Students
- J-1 and H1-B applicants encouraged to apply
