Job Summary
Gastroenterologist Hospitalist needed to join MercyOne Des Moines Gastroenterology department with an emphasis on non-emergent advanced therapeutic cases and a 7On/7Off hospitalist schedule. Role includes consultation-only service, integrated endoscopy suite support, and collaboration with in-house anesthesia, interventional radiology, cytopathology, and colorectal surgery. Opportunity to teach Internal Medicine Residents and Medical Students. Provides a substantial compensation package (base salary plus call, bonus, CME, and paid malpractice) with visa support for J-1 and H-1B applicants. Requires advanced therapeutic training in gastroenterology and affiliation with a hospitalist service in a Level II Trauma center environment; the role may involve cross-campus coverage and participation in multidisciplinary care within MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center and related facilities.
