Job Summary
Gas Leak Survey Technician inspects gas lines to determine the origin and severity of leaks, and to detect, locate, and evaluate leaks. The role requires traveling up to 75% (occasional weekends), potential use of a company vehicle (or training vehicle initially), outdoor field work in varied environments, and training courses (classroom or online) to pass qualification tests. Responsibilities include walking several miles per day, following safety/quality policies, and communicating with customers while supporting our gas infrastructure integrity.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time, including occasional weekends
- Ability to drive in all weather conditions
- Ability to learn training material in classroom format and/or online courses
- Pass qualification tests for the role
- Walk 5 or more miles per day while working outdoors
- Carry equipment and perform field duties
- Effective communication with customers
- Adhere to safety and quality policies and procedures
- Be available for overtime as needed
