Job Summary
Greet customers, operate fuel pumps, and provide full-service fueling assistance while monitoring pump areas for spills or safety concerns. Process cash, credit, and fuel transactions accurately using the POS system, balance drawers, and verify identification for age-restricted products. Prepare, stock, and serve food and beverages while maintaining sanitary conditions and monitoring inventory levels. Clean the store, fuel islands, and restrooms; sweep, mop, and sanitize high-touch surfaces throughout the shift. Report equipment malfunctions, spills, or suspicious activity to management and follow all safety and security procedures. Perform opening, closing, and shift-handover duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to provide professional and courteous customer service
- Ability to accurately handle cash and complete basic mathematical calculations
- Ability to learn and operate POS systems, fuel-related systems, and other equipment used in the position
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and established safety procedures
- Ability to work independently and exercise appropriate judgment when management is not immediately present
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and management
- Ability to maintain reliability, punctuality, and regular attendance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment and manage multiple responsibilities
- Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Previous experience in a gas station, convenience store, retail, restaurant, food service, or other customer-facing environment
- Previous cash handling or POS experience
- Previous food handling experience
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to perform essential functions including standing and walking for extended periods; bending, reaching, stooping, and performing repetitive movements
- Must be able to lift, carry, pushing, or otherwise move merchandise, supplies, trash, and other materials weighing up to approximately 40 pounds
- Must be able to safely work around customers, vehicles, fuel dispensing areas, food service equipment, and other operational equipment and conditions
- Must comply with all Company policies and applicable safety, food handling, cash handling, age-restricted sales, and operational requirements
