Job Summary
Oversee gas compliance activities across the Defence estate, ensuring statutory inspections, servicing, and preventative maintenance programmes are delivered effectively. Conduct regular audits and assurance reviews to identify areas for improvement, manage gas-related risks, and support emergency responses where required. Provide specialist advice on gas infrastructure, review technical procedures and risk assessments, and investigate incidents to recommend practical improvements. Collaborate with contractors and supply chain partners to verify competence and monitor performance, while maintaining accurate compliance records and presenting technical findings to senior stakeholders. The role includes a mixture of home working, site visits, and occasional out-of-hours support on a one-in-four on-call rota.
Required Qualifications
- extensive experience managing gas compliance across large property, infrastructure or facilities management portfolios
- thorough understanding of the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations
- Gas Safety Management Regulations
- relevant British Standards

- current ACS Gas qualifications appropriate to the scope of the role

- Holding SCO competencies
- Holding EUSR Gas registration
- Engineering Technician (EngTech) status
- IOSH Managing Safely
- NEBOSH General Certificate
