Gas Portfolio Analyst

Gas Portfolio Analyst to join Octopus Energy Spain's Procurement team. You will monitor and adjust the gas portfolio positions daily (PVB, TVB, AVB), develop and validate short-, medium-, and long-term consumption forecasts, track gas market fundamentals (LNG flows, storage, demand, supply, weather, geopolitical events, forward curves), support tariff pricing by translating market costs and risk assumptions into competitive offers, and collaborate with Finance, Data and Commercial teams to align tariffs and forecasts with growth objectives. You will drive improvements through tooling and automation, stay current on Spanish and European gas regulation, and apply your expertise in time-series analysis, portfolio modelling, and hedging concepts using SQL, Python, or R. Fluency in Spanish and working-level English is required. The role involves location-based in-person work in Valencia, Madrid, or Barcelona, or remote work across Spain. Location-specific details include office-based roles in Valencia, Madrid, and Barcelona, with a separate Spain-wide remote option.
