Job Summary
Install, remove, and replace residential, commercial, and industrial gas meters according to utility standards and safety codes. Retrofit existing meters, connect new units to gas service lines and regulators, and perform scheduled maintenance, calibrations, and inspections. Test installations for leaks, proper pressure, and accurate meter operation while identifying and correcting hazardous conditions. Assist with loading trucks and staging materials, maintaining tools and equipment in working order. Comply with DOT Drug & Alcohol Testing Requirements and complete written and performance evaluations per PHMSA 49 CFR Part 192 Subpart N. Work primarily Monday-Thursday, 7am-5:30pm, as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or one to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
