Job Summary
Professionally install water heaters and tankless equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and local codes; replace or repair leaking water heaters and maintain HVAC equipment. Represent Reliance with professional, courteous, customer-service orientation; educate customers on products and options; foster positive customer relations and execute the company’s service processes. Participate in training and mentoring of new installers; contribute to business growth through lead generation; maintain safety standards and a neat, safe work environment; operate with a growth mindset and uphold reliable, punctual service. The role emphasizes customer-focused problem solving, effective communication, and a collaborative team approach while delivering consistent, high-quality home comfort solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Gas Technician 2 (G2) license
- Class G Driver's License
- Diagnostic and HVAC maintenance skills for residential equipment
- Ability to lift and maneuver water heaters with equipment as needed
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding customer service and organizational skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Willingness to work rotating shifts and standby duties including weekends
- Ability to understand/learn new technologies (electronics/electricity)
