Job Summary
Gas Field Technician Lead in Dallas/Fort Worth, TX region leads a small team of Field Technicians (I-III), serves as SME for field operations, and performs hands-on duties including leak troubleshooting, installing/maintaining residential and commercial gas meter sets, and coordinating with Field Service to keep gas service uninterrupted. The role requires maintaining Operator Qualification Certifications (I & II, and III), training and mentoring team members, performing contractor inspections per Railroad Commission standards, conducting pipeline patrols, installing AMR systems, and beginning work on odorization and high-pressure station intricacies. Rotating on-call duties are part of the schedule. Requires a High School Diploma or GED and 5–7 years of related experience, plus a valid driver’s license and strong written/verbal communication skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Five to seven years of related experience
- Must maintain Field Technician I & II Operator Qualification Certifications
- Experience in installing, monitoring, and maintaining gas meter sets (residential and commercial)
- Knowledge of local codes and regulations (RRC)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work on rotating on-call schedule
- Understanding of high-pressure gas systems and odorization processes
- Experience coordinating with Field Service teams and supervising small teams
