Job Summary
Gas Engineer / Installer (Part-Time) role based in Castle Donington, covering the Midlands. Field-based installations of domestic gas appliances in customers' homes, with some electrical work, delivering up to 8 installations per day. Must be Gas Safe Registered with CKR1 (essential) and HT R1 (desirable). Requires full UK Driving Licence and strong communication/customer service skills. You will follow installation instructions and plans, ensure safety and quality standards, document results and testing, and provide clear safety guidance to customers. Company provides van, tools, and uniform; structured routing and ongoing training available.
Required Qualifications
- Gas Safe Registered (essential)
- CKR1 qualification (essential)
- HTR1 qualification (desirable)
- Previous experience installing domestic appliances and white goods
- Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-facing installation environment
- Full UK Driving Licence (maximum 6 points, no serious motoring offences)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work from installation instructions, plans, and technical specifications
