Job Summary
Assist with setup, operation, and breakdown of job sites for gas infrastructure installations, supporting fusion technicians with polyethylene pipe preparation and alignment. Perform basic fusion techniques under supervision, including socket and butt fusion assistance, while operating hand and small power tools such as drills, tampers, and pipe cutters. Support mini-excavator and trenching equipment for underground utilities, read utility maps and safety drawings, and maintain accurate records of daily work activities. Follow proper procedures for utility locating and job site safety, assist in inspection and testing of installed lines, and load, transport, and organize materials. Maintain a clean work area and adhere to all Health, Safety & Environmental policies. Valid driver's license, ability to lift 50+ lbs, and willingness to learn are required.
Required Qualifications

Desired Qualifications
- 6 months to 1 year of experience in utility installation, construction, or gas distribution preferred
- Basic understanding of polyethylene fusion processes and pipe handling
- Familiarity with reading blueprints or site plans (entry-level)
- High school diploma or GED preferred
