Job Summary
Gas Designer in the Gas Discipline for natural gas utility projects; performs CAD drafting in 3D/2D using AutoCAD Plant 3D and Civil 3D on a range of projects (main/service replacements, regulator stations, odorization, HDD design, and more). Duties include 3D/2D production for client, municipal, and regulatory review, and preliminary field work (3D scanning, GPS data collection, basic measurement) comprising ~10% of annual workload with potential travel up to 2 hours driving. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or related design field; strong communication; valid driver’s license; ability to manage multiple projects and budgets; willingness to perform field tasks; and proficiency with Autodesk CAD tools. Flexible work location between Rochester, NY and Bedford, NH offices; remote status may be considered but is not guaranteed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Architecture, or other design related field (preferred)
- AutoCAD Plant 3D and Civil 3D experience (preferred)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to carry ~10 lbs throughout the workday
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving history
- Presents and conducts themselves in a professional manner
- Ability to balance multiple projects and prioritize workloads
- Client background check clearance
