Job Summary
Provide customer service and maintain positive relations by handling questions, comments, requests, and complaints while adhering to company policies. Fill fuel, propane, and other vehicle supplies per minimum service standards, and manage stocking, display, and unloading duties in the convenience store. Handle merchandise to ensure quality, minimize damages, and maintain price integrity. Perform general clean-up duties including spills, fixtures, equipment, washrooms, and pump islands to keep the sales floor and back stock area organized. Follow Occupational Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental regulations for hazardous material handling. Assist with ordering, receiving procedures, inventory takes, and tobacco lotteries. Maintain cigarette and stock levels and office filing. Report equipment repair requirements to the supervisor or manager.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 9 or acceptable combination of education and experience
- Must be 16 years of age
- Must be fluent in English (CLBA - Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment score of 5 or higher)
- Previous retail or related experience
