Job Summary
Gardenia Speech Collection project seeks US-native English speakers to record wake-up phrases and scripted utterances for voice-assistant tech. Independent contractor/freelance engagement. Eligible participants must be 18+, US-born and residing in the United States, native US English, able to use mobile device and headset for recording, and have a quiet environment; accent screening will be conducted. Remote participation from anywhere in the United States. Estimated completion time ~30 minutes. Compensation is $25 USD for fully completed and accepted assets. Submissions will be QA checked with feedback provided.
Required Qualifications
- Be 18 years or older
- Be born and live in the United States
- Be native speaker of English (US)
- Be able to use a mobile phone for this project
- Be able to use a wired headset or the device microphone for recording phrases
- Have access to a quiet indoor environment to do the recordings
- Pass initial accent screening
