Job Summary
Maintain resort gardens and grounds to a high aesthetic level through watering, weeding, raking, lawn care, and conservatory plant tending. Trim hedges and trees, weed high-visibility areas, and maintain roads and pathways by smoothing ditches and planting grass. Assist with floral arrangements, operate small vehicles, and perform occasional lawn care tasks like mowing and fertilizing. Ensure tools and equipment remain in good order while driving around the property. Work shift rotations from April to October with flexibility required for business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Fluent in English
- One (1) year of experience in a similar role
- High School Diploma
Desired Qualifications
- Second languages
- Experience in a live-in resort environment
- Able to safely operate power equipment such as line trimmers, hedge trimmers, chain saws and blowers
- Any additional education or experience in the Hospitality, Tourism, or related fields
- First Aid & AED certificates
- Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team or independently with minimum supervision
- Capable of fulfilling physical demands of the job including handling heavy loads, walking, standing for extended periods of time, crouching, bending, kneeling and repetitive tasks
