Job Summary
Support daily farming tasks at Salish Roots Farm: assist with planting, watering, and harvesting crops; maintain garden beds, pathways, and tools; weed and mulch; manage pests and diseases using organic methods; perform soil preparation including tilling, composting, and applying organic fertilizers; assist with irrigation system setup and maintenance; prune, trellis, and stake plants; follow safety protocols and PPE; assist with farm events and educational programs; learn and apply sustainable, organic farming principles throughout the summer program; collaborate with SPORE program and related initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of experience OR 3 year’s relevant experience
- Must also have the ability to operate heavy equipment
