Job Summary
Use cash register and credit card machine, answer phones, and professionally interact with customers at the retail garden center. Load and unload plants, supplies, and sod deliveries, and assist supervisors in daily activities. Assist in ordering materials, scheduling, and production for enhancements. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Work long periods outside and inside in extreme temperatures, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work Saturdays is required.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of plants
- Flexibility to work Saturdays
- Must be able and willing to work for long periods of time outside and inside (in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight)
- Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, and twist repeatedly throughout the day
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Landscaping and retail sales experience highly desired
- Strong customer service skills
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
