Job Summary
Manage cashier duties, answer phones, and handle customer service at the retail garden center. Load and unload plant material, supplies, and sod deliveries while assisting supervisors with daily activities. Order materials, schedule enhancements, and perform miscellaneous job-related tasks as assigned. Work long periods outside and inside in extreme temperatures, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Flexibility to work Saturdays is required.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of plants
- Flexibility to work Saturdays
- Must be able and willing to work for long periods of time outside and inside (in extreme temperatures and direct sunlight)
- Must be able and willing to bend, stoop, and twist repeatedly throughout the day
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Landscaping and retail sales experience highly desired
- Strong customer service skills
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
