Job Summary
Provide structure and guidance for technicians while coordinating necessary repairs to maintain shop flow. Conduct regular performance reviews, monitor daily productivity reports, and ensure fair assignment of repairs based on skill levels. Maintain high-quality service through periodic spot checks and ensure compliance with DOT, State, and federal regulations including OSHA and hazardous waste disposal. Manage special tool inventory and promote safety awareness by monitoring shop conditions and cleanliness. Interview, hire, and motivate qualified and trainee technicians within a mentor program designed for continuous improvement. Work directly with the internal customer to ensure satisfaction while upholding a professional appearance reflecting company excellence.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years trailer technician experience
- Excellent supervisory and organizational skills
- Experience dealing with customer relations and handling customer concerns
- Monday through Friday schedule
- Rotating Saturdays
- Approximately 45 hours a week
- Background checks
- Reference checks
- Drug screenings
