Job Summary
Diagnose, repair, install, and maintain residential and commercial garage doors and openers. Provide exceptional customer service, document completed work and materials, drive to customer locations, test door systems and sensors, maintain inventory, and upsell when appropriate. Comfortable working outdoors, in a piece-rate environment once trained, and able to lift 75+ lbs while using hand and power tools. Emphasis on safety, communication with customers, and timely completion of service and installations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years experience in garage doors, construction, electrical, HVAC, or related trade
- Valid driver’s license with a clean 3-year driving record
- Ability to lift 75+ lbs, work on your feet, at a ladder, and in outdoor conditions
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
- Comfortable with face-to-face customer interaction and upselling when appropriate
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions
