Gaming Localization Specialist (Simplified Chinese to English) – Guangzhou (On-site)

Job Summary
Translate and localize product documentation, R&D materials, and operational processes from Simplified Chinese into English, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and consistency. Organize, maintain, and refine translation guidelines, style guides, and reference materials to ensure high-quality output. Develop, update, and manage project-specific terminology databases and glossaries to support efficient and consistent localization. Maintain a long-term, on-site part-time schedule in Guangzhou Tianhe District, Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, with a contract duration of 3 months to 1 year subject to extension. Sign necessary non-disclosure and work agreements before project details are disclosed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in English, Translation, Linguistics, or a related field
- Proven professional translation experience with the ability to handle both written translation and consecutive interpretation effectively
- Previous experience in game industry localization (Chinese to English) or LQA (Linguistic Quality Assurance)
- A genuine passion for gaming and a keen awareness of the market environment
- Reliable, detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of working under pressure with strong communication and coordination skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Photoshop (PS), and other common office software
- Must be able to work on-site in Tianhe District, Guangzhou
- Must be available Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- Must be able to sign the necessary non-disclosure and work agreements
Desired Qualifications
- Prior translation/interpreting experience in technical fields
- A strong command of both English and Japanese
