Job Summary
Monitor casino activities for compliance with departmental policies and report discrepancies to the Compliance Coordinator. Read and comprehend Gaming Materials Handbook and departmental manuals, then attend monthly staff meetings to submit daily shift, weekly status, and monthly duty reports. Receive training on Table Games, Slots, Bingo/Pull Tabs, Security, Surveillance, and Cash Services, and attend seminars on Native American gaming as needed. Maintain strict confidentiality, interpret State and Federal guidelines, and work independently throughout the property's gaming floor and administration building.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, comprehend and write reports
- Must have full capability to interpret and comprehend extensive gaming material as directed by State and Federal guidelines
- Must be able to conform to regulations as decreed by the Prairie Island Tribal Council
- Must be able to pass onsite inspector training within 90 days of start
- Must be able to complete all mandated training for licensing and gaming issues
- Must be able to comprehend basic understanding of CFR25, Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988, Tribal/State Compact and the Prairie Island Gaming Ordinance
- Ability to maintain strict standards of confidentiality
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision
- Ability to work well within the existing team and government structure
- Sensitive to Native American Culture
- Must pass drug screen (UA) and a criminal background check
- Valid driver's license and proof of insurability
- Must be able to walk or stand for long periods throughout the day with occasional sitting
- Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
