Job Summary
Support the preparation and implementation of gameday activities, production elements, promotional activations, and group experiences for Utica Comets and Utica City FC home games at the Adirondack Bank Center. Contribute to run-of-show documents, including game scripts and PA reads, while providing gameday support to staff, ice crew, and performers. Assist mascot performers with scheduled appearances and promote a positive fan environment by interacting with fans, VIPs, and stakeholders. Work with staff to conceptualize new fan engagement opportunities and present ideas to enhance in-arena presentation and theme nights. This unpaid, on-site role requires approximately 20 hours per week, flexible scheduling to cover peak times, and travel arrangements by the intern.
Required Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills
- Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Applications, specifically Excel and Word
- Can maintain a high level of professionalism within a professional sports environment
- Ability to adapt to changing game situations and can complete projects under tight deadlines
- Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time
- Can lift up to 30 lb
- Must have a flexible schedule to allow commitment to a majority of Utica Comets and Utica City FC home games during their internship term
- Interested applicants must be willing and able to work non-traditional hours in non-traditional settings during peak times of the year
- Intern will be responsible for their own housing, food, and transportation to and from the Adirondack Bank Center
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe InDesign
