Job Summary
Lead long-term creative and gameplay direction for a GaaS mobile title (Marvel Contest of Champions, etc.). Define and evolve design pillars for Champion design, combat systems, progression, live events, and the player journey. Hold the bar on quality and craft across all tentpoles and live moments. Lead the design team, mentor designers, establish design standards, and recruit and grow design talent. Partner with Product on roadmaps, monetization, and multi-year live service priorities; collaborate daily with Production, Engineering, Live Operations, Marketing, and Community to deliver coordinated outcomes. Translate live performance data into creative direction while balancing short-term outcomes and long-term health. Represent the player and game health in senior decisions, contribute to studio-level planning, and communicate clearly across disciplines. Fluent English required; experience with Marvel, fighting games, or related genres highly valued.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience on a GaaS product
- 5+ years in design leadership on a live-service mobile title
- Deep experience in action-RPG, collection RPG, or gacha-driven live service
- Advanced understanding of monetization design and live ops cadence
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Shipped or operated a tentpole live-service title for three or more years
- Experience evolving a long-running live service through a strategic step-up
- Passion for Marvel or fighting games
