Job Summary
Scrape the playing surface of ice shavings during media timeouts and perform on-ice tasks safely while wearing skates. Implement and execute all in-arena game presentation activities, including promotions, anthems, color guard, ceremonies, and mascot duties. Greet fans as they enter and exit the arena, answer fan questions professionally, and distribute promotional items. Work as a team to execute game day elements and assist other departments with initiatives. Participate in pre-game, in-game, and post-game duties, promote a positive fan experience, and assist with other IceHogs events in and out of the arena. Commit to the entire 2026-27 season, including all 36 regular-season home games and playoff games from September through April.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have very strong skating abilities
- Must be able to commit to the entire Rockford IceHogs 2026-27 season
- Must be able to attend preseason meetings and training sessions
- Must work all 36 regular-season home games and playoff games
- Must be available for game days from 3:00pm - 10:00pm
- Must be able to commit to at least 75% of the season
- Must have excellent teamwork skills
- Must exhibit a willingness to help co-workers succeed
- Must possess strong communication skills
- Must have an outgoing and positive attitude
- Must enjoy interaction with fans
- Must be comfortable interacting with and being around a large group of people
