Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of coordinating agency-wide gambling outreach services and activities, ensuring alignment with the Illinois sponsored "are you really willing" campaign. Supervise outreach staff by monitoring performance, engagement quality, and adherence to safety protocols while providing brief interventions and referrals for problem gambling. Collaborate with administrators to establish new partnership locations for mobile outreach programs and conduct direct harm reduction education for individuals experiencing substance use or homelessness. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with community partners to enhance referral pathways and stay informed of local resources relevant to harm reduction and substance use services. A personal vehicle is necessary for traveling to sites throughout Cook County, Sangamon County, and Will County.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Associate's degree preferred
- Experience in behavioral health
- Experience in community health outreach
- Experience in substance use harm reduction
- Experience in withdrawal management programs
- Experience in medication-assisted treatment
- Experience in community relations
- Lived experience with substance use and/or problem gambling and successful recovery preferred
- Certification as a Community Health Worker or Peer Support Specialist preferred
- Current Driver's License
- Vehicle Insurance
- DCFS clearance required
