Job Summary
Galvanizing Line Maintenance Mechanic responsible for safely performing preventative and corrective maintenance on steel mill equipment and systems. Key duties include mechanical troubleshooting, interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics (including metric and DIN standards), applying hydraulics/pneumatics/pumps/piping knowledge, maintaining centralized lubrication systems, training teammates on new equipment and modifications, and supporting the commissioning of new galvanizing lines and related systems (robotics and furnace equipment). Must be able to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Emphasis on safety, reliability, quality, and cost/project execution within a greenfield galvanizing facility that will operate at scale; involvement in developing maintenance plans within CMMS and identifying critical spare parts. Safely leading and upholding safety policies and housekeeping standards at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Foundational knowledge of mechanical theory, including hydraulics
- Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems
- Experience working with LOTO procedures for complex systems
